Welcome to my listing on MWA's Web site. I have been a member of this fabulous organization since 1976 when my first mystery for young readers was published by Lothrop, Lee & Shepard. The title of the book was "Detective Mole"about mole character who solves cases in his community of animals wearing a deerstalker and a trenchcoat. When he is indoors he wears dark glasses because his eyes are very tiny from living underground. He enormous hands for digging are perfect for finding clues. The good detective became so popular with children that a series was created for him. "Detective Mole and the Halloween Mystery" won an Edgar Allen Poe Special Award for best juvenile mystery of 1982. After Dectective Mole came the Miss Mallard Mysteries which went on to become animated films for children's international television broadcasting and DVD in five languages. Sherlock Chick and others followed after that. All of them are like family to me. I have no favorites. Thank you again for visiting my MWA listing.
