June Weltman is the author of Mystery of the Missing Candlestick, a young adult mystery set in St. Augustine, Florida. Teenage detective Miranda Manning and her friends track thieves after the theft of an antique silver candlestick. The Florida Historical Society recognized the book with a special award. Booklist recommended it for grades five to eight.
June is a former newspaper reporter and an award-winning freelance writer. She has been a featured author at educator conferences and book festivals including the Amelia Island Book Island Festival, Much Ado About Books, Sleuthfest, and Malice Domestic. She enjoys visiting schools to talk about mysteries and writing. She teaches adult education classes on writing mysteries for children.
