Lisa Unger

A former deputy district attorney in Portland, Oregon, Alafair Burke is the author of the critically acclaimed Samantha Kincaid series. Her fourth novel, Dead Connection, introduced readers to NYPD Detective Ellie Hatcher. She is a professor at Hofstra Law School, where she teaches criminal law and procedure, and graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School. She serves as a legal and trial commentator for various radio and television programs and lives in New York City.
