Welcome Note

Thanks for dropping in! I hope you like mysteries that are evocative, interesting and fun! I write murder in a light vein. What's the use of a good corpse if you can't get a few laughs out of it?

Author Bio

Born in Southern California, I spent most of my life in and around Los Angeles. I've worked as a technical illustrator, technical writer, computer programmer, and documentation manager for a major corporation. I've been working as a full time writer since 1994, when I moved to the northern part of the state, where I live on a game refuge with one husband, six cats, and a multitude of wildlife.

I grew up with the Golden Age mysteries and I'm a staunch fan of the Fairness to the Reader doctrine. If I ever decide to have the butler commit the murder you can be sure that I'll salt some clues that point to him along the way. My mysteries are the cozy type. There's not much gore, the detectives and suspects mind their language, and if a couple of the characters spend the night together, that's their own private business.

So, pour yourself a cup of tea, put some cookies on a plate, and curl up with one of my friendly little forays into murder and mayhem.

p.s.
I also write some science fiction and occasional fantasy. Visit my web page to see a complete list of my books: http://www.pacificsites.c...

Main Character: Jeremy and Linda Austin, Ted Wilder, Lucky Pierre
Lucky Pierre, that feline arch sleuth, faces another murder in this lighthearted cozy mystery. His loyal human friends, Linda and Jeremy Austin, are hosting a group of spiritualists for a three-day stay at their Honeysuckle House Bed and Breakfast. No one expected any problems beyond a few tipped tables and an occasional lewd word on the Ouija board. They certainly didn't expect to find the group's channeler (a medium, but rather tall) sprawled in her bed, reeking of bitter almonds, and dead as a doornail.
