Welcome to my historical and contemporary mysteries. My contemporary suspense novels are set in various US states: Ohio and South Florida, where I live, and places I have visited and loved, such as Colorado, Washington and Montana. Published since 1982, Karen Harper is the author of 50 novels. A NYTimes and USA TODAY bestselling author, she won the Mary Higgins Clark Award in 2006 for her novel, DARK HARVEST, and was nominated for the award again in 2008 for INFERNO. Karen is a former college instructor (Ohio State University) and high school English teacher, who left teaching to write full time. She and her husband divide their time between Columbus, Ohio and Naples, Florda. Her publishers include Mira Books, Penguin USA and Random House UK.
