Someone once said: "I've been around." I'm not certain if that was meant to be a compliment or not. I will say I'm an avid motorcyclists and sailor, tattoo fan, and understand the seamier side of life. I guess what an old pirate wrote about me sums it up: "Doc sees much ... says little ... and writes it all down."

Doc Macomber is an active member of the Mystery Writers of America, The International Thriller Writers, Willamette Writers and Friends of Mystery. He has contributed articles to the Bloodletter, the Mystery Readers Journal about the development of his Vietnamese investigator, Jack Vu – an Air Force Office of Special Investigationer (OSI), and E.V. Cunningham and the History of the Ethnic Detective. He is also a contributor to the 2011 upcoming release – Now Write Mysteries! 50 of the Best Crime, Thriller and Mystery Writers. His mystery novels include: Riff Raff (2011), Snip (2009), Wolf’s Remedy (2007), and The Killer Coin (2003). All four books are available as ebooks, MP3s (via www.Audio.com) and audiobooks. Doc formerly served in an Air Force Special Operations Unit and currently lives aboard a 46-foot trawler in the Pacific Northwest.
